I've not seen a banlist program that can reliably ban IPs. Also, most users that would get banned have learned tricks around the ban, such as IP spoofing and having a "connection shifter" as I call it. It's a little device that acts like a dial-up modem on a cable modem, allowing you to change through several valid IPs at random.

I think rename would be fine if you could still see who the person is, like -whois Red would show you reds account name.

 ;D I think I got it. The host should be able to pick the game type of the game. 1. If your a noob and you can't live with what the hosts pick to bad. 2. There is a little chance of a noob host. If a noob comes it is his first time and if he does not like the game why would he host it again? Plus that is even if he can host the map. 3. If there are pros they should be able to have a fun time and not have a noob ruin the game. I have had noobs ruin my game a lot. I vote insane and the level is ave. It makes me pissed off this the people who do it. 4. Why should we care if they suck and die? If there an empire they need to hire you and have you just go there and save their ass. You get paid and they just sit there dieing of fire. If there a hero just tell them to run around and don't get killed it is not hard you just go to some one and sleep and you get healed. 5. It is going the end of the world if they die.

well we gotta introduce the game to noobs to get more pro's around so anyway, i agree there should be vote things that are for host only, but not everything. what do you think about this vote Let Host choose all options. -Yes -No (this doesnt mean u cant choose if u wanna be hero/emp and what kinda hero) like this, if there are more than 6 ppl that r pro, the game simply cant be ruined. the host will know what to do and (if social enough  ) wont put diff too high if there are noobs involved. i think this would solve most vote problems |

Sounds good, but that will make the whole opening menu take longer right? cuz then you cant rush thru all the menus faster than everyone else
In other words, you would have to have a second shorter timer during the voting stage to establish whether or not to let other players vote on difficulty.

i dont think vote time would make such a problem
just put a one minute limit on it or when every1s done the game starts

final... i don't mind vote timer just take off the selecting hero and empire timer i always seem to go afk and come back with the worst combinations ever... ;D

mmm no, I like the current voting system, it should just immediately start when you all player finish picking.
