HI? lulz i'm the creator of the new advanced version which you may have seen on epicwar/bnet soz to kind of take but your given credit ^-^ made it alot better try it!! i'll also work with u guys if you mail me deth_lord@yahoo.com worked hard on it made the skins not suck either nofense but the did suck before. I registered to this forum the moment I read this topic.
I've played Advanced, and it was terrible. I noticed probably 90% of the changes to the empires, and they made it infinitely easier, and completely nullified all enjoyment from the game.
Seriously, 1/5 cost farms with normal production, 1/3 cost workers, cheaper huts... What happened to the strategy and skill involved in empire management? If you can't beat God's Play on solo with ease with the terrible changes made to empires, then you suck.
The skins were fine before; they lagged the game more than needed, but they served their purposes fine. Changing them is excessive, unneeded and pointless.
Stop working on advanced, and come up with your own map. It disgusts me to no end when someone randomly breaks a map open and claims they're "improving" it when all they're doing is removing the entertainment value.

The advanced i made? Are you serious??? it has nothing changed for empires that wasn't in finallegacy or lordsquad, which shows that you didn't actually compare them did you? i also fail to see how skins make it laggy. i have had no problems and no complaints besides the one you just posted about lag. Skins are not excessive, unneeded and pointless, if they were so i would not change them. Everyone says they are better that i have tested with. You are entitled to your opinion however and i respect that but when you start pulling fictional arguments that have no evidence to support them such as "breaking" the map when the map itself isn't protected. I'm sorry i wanted to make it better??? i haven't seen many updates within the last year for it. you are entitled to the changelog since you probably think i'm some hacker scrub that made a hacked version just to be able to cheat and get credit. If I was this "hacker noob" that breaks maps to screw with them and make them useless, why would i take the fu--ing time to post it on here? Reread my post please, and try to think about what that really means.
This is the changelog as of yet for ALL versions. Version 3.0 has not been released yet and is still being worked on.
The EXACT words of the update log:

Version 1.0 -added new skin for wizard -added new skin for monk -added new skin for necromancer -added new skin for ranger -set wizard starting range to 400 -set necromancer starting range to 200 -created a new building for hero builder: workshop -Workshop can be upgraded into Sweatshop which gives trade points -Increased Vote Time -Made a host override vote in case host wants to dictate difficulty -Made a -repick if you accidently pick wrong button at start. -repick only works during vote time. -Took units sold at camp leader and created a new mercenary man at the camps that sell them. -Camp leaders now sell some new potions and campfires for people that didn't choose builder as their hero type. -Increased kalendans HP -Someone's vote is now announced to all players.Hueter

Then you used a broken version as your base.
I even double-checked what version of "Advanced" I had using the link you provided.
Skins are ART, which is always secondary and unimportant to a good game (obviously a certain quality of art is needed, but we're playing Warcraft 3, we're not expecting much.) If someone told you that the skins improved the map, then either they didn't actually care, and they thought it looked a little nice, or they are hurting the video gaming industry.
And part of the reason why there hasn't been a whole lot of updates (other than inactivity by the map creators) is that it's already near-perfect for what it is. You'd have to add new features, which could royally screw up the balance, in order to improve it. Hence why they've essentially shelved the map as "completed" and have instead devoted their map development time to the sequel.
Hut cost in Advanced 2.0: 200 Hut cost in 7.3: 250
Peasant cost in Advanced: 10/40 Peasant cost in 7.3: 30/120
Farm cost in Advanced: 30/400 Farm cost in 7.3: 100/2000
Farm size in Advanced: 1x1 Farm size in 7.3: 4x4

I would like to see the replay of you beating gods play on advanced 2.0 alone as empire. That or you suck as you yourself said.
As for all those cost changes i will increase them but not to their full price as they were before and i will keep the 1x1 farms.

Tax rate 13, ration rate 29. With that and 6 barracks, you can spam units faster than the enemy can kill them AND upgrade to higher tiers simultaneously. That's a direct result of 1x1 farms. God's Play takes longer, but it's the same schematic. I also will not waste that much time playing Advanced, which, as I mentioned, I find it to be disgusting. After playing a half hour, I saw where it was going, and quit.
Short answer: Your version sucks.
Long answer: I'm never going to spend more than 5 more minutes on your version. Why play "Advanced" when 7.3 is so much more enjoyable.

i believe that farms should stay 1x1, but be decreased in efficiency, therefore resulting in them still taking up a lot of space to do what is needed, but letting you curve the farmland around obstacles rather than needing a big open space; little spaces unused can be filled with the 1x1 farms and such. but little farms with the efficiency of the big ones kinda ruins the game.

they stay 1x1... but efficiency will decrease and as for unit costs upgraded. still have yet to see someone post a vid of them beating game on gods play solo empire

I have seen someone solo gods play i was the hero and just obsevered... but he soloed it all right. Final should know what im talking about

certain aspects are okay, but when you put too many typed commands into a game to the point where you have to use them often to play, it ruins the game. your simple systems that youve added in should be activated through dialogue buttons
