Don't think that i am gonna make a food cap in hae2. If i find a way how to change the wood gaining. So help is welcome (else people mass 300 workers and freeze the game)

Then include a "Max Worker" tech. If you reach it then all of the "Create Worker" buttons disappear.
Problem with it is that you can make 6 more than the cap if you queue 7 when you need 1 to reach the cap. *Cough*MultiSquareDefenseSimHero*Cough*

HEy, Idea for wood cutting, how about empires can build industrial building around and near trees and once it is built, non-player controlled units just go out and havest, and you can upgrade how many per indust building and carring capacity too! but no fiddling with idles, you'll have some desinated builders and these guys just havest until dead, then i don't have to go around allll day putting folks on different trees LOL

I thought about that too. But a problem with that is that the controlled units will increase lagg even worse then the normal workers and they can pretty easily get bugged. So the alternative was the building without workers but then i get a problem that its too easily massed out. Maybe i will make them big to fix that...

well it would be hard for beginners to understand, but have the industry building not send units but just calculate a wood/minute based on the # of trees nearby?(within lets say 1000 range)
put a building limit on them if thats the case, or u can find a tight group of trees and make a fortress of harvesters right away.

Yeah i will make probably try to make it like galuf says only problem is that i need to make the same trees not calculated twice or it will be rigged hehe.

Maybe a trigger that prevent you from putting woodhouses too close (Maybe take the road/house trigger as a basic template)
