Allright, basicly this will be one of the latest versions, therefor i made a new avatar I also made a couple of small changes like lower prices voor items, nerfed the infernals a bit more and balanced the traders new skill. Also i changed the models of the light towers (mansions)... I made this topic for you guys to come with any good ideas to upgrade 7.3. Feel free to come with suggestions, keep them as simple as possible please, got to solo these changes and there's no more than 2 weeks to spend in this because i will be moving to my new home in Germany without internet access. Don't hasitate; feel free to post your suggestions and comments!

Alright. I've got an idea. Or a few. MORE WAYS TO GET GOLD!! Seriously, its boring to just sit in your base waiting for tax to get you gold. I want more, varied ways to garner money. For example, you could implement trading between allied empires, perhaps? Have the marketplace be able to build Trade Carts or something to trade with people for money. A larger food limit, or make workers cost no food. Make the Precision upgrade more available, perhaps? A random event like, you unearth a hidden gold mine, or a trade caravan breaks down and the juicy resources are up for grabs -- you could, for example, make crates appear that count as gold mines which your workers can gather from. of course, these crates would have very little gold. Still, it could be a worthy boost -- especially in the early times. Make a moving unit, such as a cart, that your workers can return resources to. This could be used with the above idea so you could move such a cart and some workers to a broke down caravan, then take the cash. "Bumper crop! Food production rate increased!" random event, so your farms would get a big bonus in production rates.. perhaps 500 each or so, for the standard 1 minute. Random weather effects, maybe... Like lightning storms. Aerial convoy comes in to drop off crates of gold (or lumber) at the camps to supply them (or for hungry empires to take them, hehe). Or, all the above mentioned crate ideas could be destructible objects you break open, that contain packets of Tradepoints for the heroes. That could work too, I think... or, they explode in your face MWAHAHA! random chance, of course. Gift from the Gods! A hero, favored by the gods for completing a quest, gets approached by an emissary of the heavens, and he gives you a powerful item (power proportional to game time spent or something like that). very slim chance of this happening. A random tower or tank that requires power suffers a massive malfunction and becomes inoperable as though power were offline. This unit cannot move or attack until the crew fixes it (happens without needing workers to repair, but takes a while). A purge graphic could be used to show that the unit has malfunctioned, then some other graphic to show its fixed. Well, there's my ideas... This is going to be hard to type all of the stuff that setokaiva said...
More ways to get gold. Final is going to make a way to get more gold. It is changing the house pic so it is less laggy and you can make more houses that makes more gold. If you are having lag in your first base then move to a different place build a town hall and make a new mini base which would help income. You can make a farm area where you go to a big spot and you make a ton of farms there and raise taxes.
The gold from creeps don't work at all. IF you have gold for creeps it would make it so that empires could get LARGE amounts of gold from heroes. And then heroes would have nothing to do with it so you would have to make them be able to use gold and then empires gives the gold to them which they can make faster in the end of the game.
For the bigger food limit ya i would like that make it to 100. For the workers just kill them later in the game (retire button).
If the precision upgrade would come up more then you would out range alot of units and it would be come unfair for empires vs units because there are hills where heroes and other people can't attack.
A Goldmine poping up? I dont know about that. It would be weird i think and it would not give alot of gold fast and it would be easyer just to upgrade houses to get more people and that would get you more income.
Cart i have no idea final you pick...
"Bumper Crop" that would not work... i dont think... Ya you would be able to increase tax and rations but not really use full.. It is like the rats they eat your food. but the only do bad if you are losing MASS amounts of food anyway.
Lighting storms that could work... but it would be a pain to heal everything because when you make farms you try to make alot in a little room so you box in your farms and then you could not repair them.
The aerial convoy make it so you get a new unit that you can not make. Have it have good attack hp etc. and be able to be upgraded
When you do a quest in wow some times when you turn it in you get a buff that would work i dont know how you would do it in wc3

hm... im taking most ideas into consideration but for the silly ones (right royce?) its nice to see combinations of ideas like setokaiva asking for more ways to get gold and daeatul giving a fine example of how. maybe a tradepoint drop on creeps is another idea. anyway, thanks for posting and feel free to come with more ideas; the more the marrier

Hmm... OK. About the lightning storms. that's the point, isn't it? Having all your houses or farms or w/e get massacred with a lightning storm... it would encourage people to be more liberal with their available space, and add more of a challenge to the game. Besides I always keep a zeppelin full of workers on-task to repair out-of-the-way stuff or... you could make Repair IFV's or something that could repair buildings from a short distance. Units, too. would that work, by any chance? hmm yeah though... I agree somewhat about the farms packed in. However, there could be like smaller versions of farms that give allot less food, but can be packed into corners more easily. Of course, this will probably be shot down. To the goldmine idea... Yeah you could just build more houses and get more people, but it gets boring after a while. That's why im hoping for more ways to get cash. Oh and, if it hasn't been done already, make bad random events (I.E, Rats) more prevalent in the harder difficulty levels, and good random events like baby boom happen less often. Vice versa for easier difficulties. And please, do something about the heroes only doing 3 damage to obelisks!! give them an item that lets them do 6 damage (Demolish effect) or something, im tired of the only assurance a hero can kill an obelisk fast enough is its attack speed.

If heroes do 6 dmg on an obelisk then when they are lvl 200 with super fast attack speed they would kill camps just as fast.

It would help if I'd played the new versions.... but I think its needing a new hero and an Armegeddon button to blow shit up... maybe more than one hero... LIKE A PURPLE ALCHEMIST!!!!!

For the lighting strom i make my farms so that the take up little space ( but they are so big >.<) and my units dont have room to land and repair them.
If final makes a NEW repair unit for the future that can fly and repair then it might work becuase the farms have alots of hp but they still might die becuase of the lighting and all the time it takes to get to the last age

My thoughts on some of the ideas so far;
-Definitely implement the gold from creeps. I understand that reducing house image lag will encourage more houses, but it does not help early on and also does not really make a new way, just makes the old less painful ;0.
-Lightning storm interesting, can be easily made too; have a hostile comp control a casting unit that targets a random area in the whole map. The question is balance... would it increase damage over time, or always do % dmg like fire? maybe use a death and decay spell instead and have it reduce hp by 70% regardless?(i'd say 100%, but that seems too devastating. and losing your town hall would blow)
-Workers cost no food is a BAD idea; would encourage people to build workers instead of upgrade harvesting, which means more lag and lag is bad. This also means that later on you must manage your resting population so that when you fire your workers to have room for an army, that you must have some % in industry.
-New hero idea sounds very good, here is my suggestion: (game needs a new agil hero i think) --use the 'Avatar of Vengeance' model, and its blue orb projectile(in case person gets bow). --For skills, ill leave it to you to decide order and balance, really any of these could work... ---Life siphon, 0 mana cost channeled move that steals hp. amount AND duration (maybe range...) increase with level. ---Curse, mana increases with level, % increases with level, duration regardless of level. ---Charge (as in HaE2) except with the hero windwalking when the animation is done ---Some kind of aura.... im at a loss on this one. maybe pulverize skill where aoe damage is based off of str(to encourage using sword skill over bow or hand) <--That should be the lvl 1 ---i think 1 more, but dont know what to put

i think maybe a skill like 'Fang. 2 str 1 agil. 1% lifesteal every 5 levels.' It would be like dagger or magic where it gives less stats but a bonus ability. Also maybe a 2 int/1 agil move that has a similar effect but adds mana per attack. Not sure how that is done tho...
