The items could be useful as it would increase the power of a smaller group of units so you dont have to mass a ton of them to get something done... It would probably work better with the max of 12 units selected at a time and make the empire be more careful with what they have.
It would also be a nice break to the build/upgrade cycle

I suggest -Spawn points at npc other than assassin campfires or anything of that substance or rather than giving a spawn point maybe disallow monsters the ability to "walk in" not talking about "spawning in" -Maybe add trade point quest minor ones and difficult -Stat boost quest for traders -Quest for empires that can only be access threw empire menu's and certain ages, this will make units more useful rather than just defending -Also i suggest capping all items under traders to 10 require there be a builder in order to get good items -bug fix Sorry for not posting somewere else but it has to do with npc dont no if its been fixed but, u setup the shop from builder that sacrifices items for mana then share control with friend and he buys before it sells u sacrifice the item and u get free mana like this. I suggest u arent allowed to buy items or bring into inventory without right amount of TP -Maybe add units that can carrier 1-2 slots of items and then adding upc that sells items based on gold and lumber in doing so disallow gold and lumber share but allow share to other empires -Also incorperating a trade system would be lovely b/w empires like -trade blue <lumber or gold> for <lumber or gold> then they hit accept if they like offer, might wanna put request allowed every 5 mins exp -trade blue 4000L for 50000G -Also allowing people to buy a crate thats invunerable next to npc would be awesome -Disallowing pking for first 5 mins tends to ruin the game when everyone leaves because everyone is pking and run outa lives -Allow towers to be sold at shops for gold or TP -Allow the selling of a hideout to everyone for the right amount of gold and tp increase the amount with % regenerated -Adding a no spawn points within 1000 range of empires main building would be nice , but just a idea -Maybe items that are sold during a certain time at npc and spreading out npc during certain area's of map not secret shops just not well none shops not over powering items just decent items - incorperate skill trees beening sold at npc that allow u to branch off more skills based on item u bought nothing over powering just allows a person to branch of in own way -Undead Death,Life Preservation,Area spells, then ultimate based on what of each 3 u have -Nightelf Regen,Mana Preservation,Area spells then ultimate based on what of each 3 u have -Human Buffs,Basic Support magic, Area spellsthen ultimate based on what of each 3 u have -Orc Offensive buffs, Defensive bufs,Minor Area spells then ultimate based on what of each 3 u have

I have a nifty idea that most likely be really hard to impliment, but be a fun new way to play. The idea sprang from a really tough game in which my monk hero build got raped quickly, luckily my friends were playing so one let me share his empire when my hero fell for the last time. We lost the game due to newbs letting wagons run around undefended, but the idea came from this:
What if there was a mode where you could "share" a whole empire with another person. Not just like share control but BOTH of you ARE that empire. I'd imagine it something like this, one person could say, do resources/researching and the other could do building and military conquest. (Wouldn't be strict enforced, it'd be an agreement between the two)
If this idea was possible, a good way to do this would be to setup a special option in the first 2-3 minutes of the game and split it. Let's say two people are Empires, and they wish to become one. The command could be for example -merge Blue Blue would then be given a dialogue saying "Red Player wishes to merge his empire with yours, do you accept?" After accepted, the person who requested the merge will have their empire units removed and Blue's empire would become shared between the two, both would see the empire screen and have full control over an empire.

I would, of course i'm odd that way. My friends and I would have some fun creating a crazy ass massive empire that would span a 1/4 of the map or something =
