Well they all are, the reason you got 5 is probably because someone renamed the file or recopied it, then you get a nice [1] behind it, and everyone else who already has it downloads it again because of the [1]. If multiply people do it you get shit like [1][1] and there ya go you already got 3 versions of the exact same map!

Empires do not fall to easily If you get a good wall with 1 or 2 layers to help out the towers you should kill most computer heroes. Plus to the heroes just bllink in and you can stop it easly. You should have 3-5 town halls over the map when he is done killing the first one you should be able to get other heroes to help you out. One more thing is that you can build towers next to the hall to stop heroes. This is a good idea for when air starts to pop up and kill your wood cutters.

Don't blame Lord_Squad if you don't know how to use empires, bit since I pity you i'll give some hints: 5 tax 12 rations, 24 woodcutters, all workforce available into commerce and some in research. ALWAYS have something researched. I have read through the whole thread. Regarding of the above quote, u mean at which age? or right from the start? In fact i did tried solo with setting to weak, even use good defence tactics mentioned in one of the thread, i still ended up destroyed. :(To me, its is really hard for empire to solo esp u need to destroy camps and OB, also building empire at the same time. Hopefully, someone out there can give some tips on how to solo on empires.

Well i'll write a brief summary of how a successful empire player will work;
Use everything you can. -The fact that u can constantly change tax/rations or resting percent means that you should! Feel free to press your people to 60% resting for a minute so you can get that next age and double your housing size. Also remember plagues are -5% on workforce, baby booms are +5%.
If you are solo, get units to back up your towers. -This allows for you to reposition some men if you have a weakened wall at a second entry, and if you mobilize your whole force you can take out a camp before they build towers.
Choose an effective location. -Sure, there are good spots like the top middle which are easy to defend at the start, but the room is cramped and awkward for fitting farms in. Go big from the start, and just link a campfire every 1/2-1/3'rd of a screen so that nothing spawns inside your base. Then later on you will be able to expand with no problem. This also pertains to the problem of later on facing dragons. Because they tend to fly around and destroy workers, building in a corner or allowing for a large enough area for your whole base means you can defend those workers better.
Decide what you need most. -This mostly just adds to the first comment. If you are low on wood and food, then stop researching stuff and switch all of your research and commerce over to industry until you can afford farms. Then go back and upgrade grain tech. Usually upgrading wood early on(its my 2nd research every game) helps a lot. -If you are under attack a lot, decide whether it is better to build powerful towers to be safe, or a handful of good units to attack the camp that is sending those units. Remember also that Kal's area spawns units and heroes no matter how many camps there are. I will sometimes build a defensive wall outside of the 'hard zone' to attack them as soon as they come out.
The best defense is a good offense. -As soon as possible, destroy camps and obelisks. If it is still grace period, definitely send all of your starting men. Once you can buy nuke silos, get 2 or 3. 2 nukes = 1 dead obelisk. 1 nuke = 1 dead camp.
Ending the game. -Tech units have significantly higher stats than the closest thing to them in the normal line of units. A stealth wraith will have more damage and hp than a normal one. always. -Use your profile to your advantage. If you are Defense, build towers to get an outpost inside the 'hard zone' and get barracks there to send a flow of men to attack kal. If you are resource, dont attack until you are very highly researched, it will end up being the same time as if you went with less advanced units of your own profile. Infantry have the hardest time ending the game because their profile gives the least actual benefit; consider staying away from them. -Don't forget the food limit of 75, but also remember that switching your populace to industry can earn a quick boost of lumber. If your army is getting too big, simply remove some workers. While I have 30+ workers for most of the game, I tend to cut that down to 12 for the endgame so that I can have plenty of offensive units.
There is no real 'perfect empire,' but you can come damn close with the above suggestions. Oh and have a plan before you build--- roads on diagonals tend to cause messes, and having the wrong size area can be a problem too. It's very much guess-and-check.

I think that it takes 2 nukes to kill a camp. scytale is right you need to get units to back up your towers. When you get to the middle age (1050 gold to get there or something...) get horses they can kill camps fast.
If you have a hard to getting to places in the middle of the game and you don't have room to build more you can send a worker in grace period or in the middle of the game (if solo because if there are no heroes around then no creep will come out and attack your worker.) Because of grace period your worker cant be attack so send him to a BIG spot and ungrow the trees so they die. Then put him in the trees and regrow.
If there are heroes (computers) camping your worker. Build a barracks in the trees and get your best units that you can get ungrow the trees kill the creep or heroes and build a wall and towers to protect that base build a town hall ( you need mass town halls so if one dies you still are alive.) then build more ^.^
