i believe the host should get to decide because if he spends his time hosting and letting people download he should get to play on a difficulty he likes.

Go public. They needs to pick or the asshole host who gets everyone just picks God Play so everyone dies... The public can make it weak but so what it is the game to play with others and you have to be nice to the little noobz just make sure you have pros if you want to have insane game play. Because if the host picks insane and everyone else dies then he would have to solo the game in that case why not just make a game by yourself?

well, if i could have merged the poll into the 'power to the host, not the people' topic i would have, i'm not an administrator.

and most hosts aren't assholes, they host and let people play out of their own good will...
I want to play atleast normal but i pick gods play every time because people pick very easy...

I guess I'll just have to add to the tons (literally, i have 2000+) of people i have added to my banlist because they can't follow directions and pick atleast normal. it's almost to the point that i'm famous. every time I host any kind of game atleast 3 people are auto-kicked by banlist

He has every right to be mad... But even if we make an new version of heroes and empires it does not mean that everyone will host it i see a lot of people using the 7.2 ( the fake lord too would would think he would use a outdated version??? )

i'm pretty loose, all i asked for was normal+ when I would have preferred Very Strong+

the reason I ban them is because I don't want to have to waste my time (and consiquently many other people's seeing as I was the host) with people who won't follow instructions.


and i doubt they missclicked or they would say something when I say... I guess I have to add everyone here to my banlist because it's less than normal... and the only person who has ever said 'I'm sorry' or 'I appologize' in any way shape or form is on my friends list

maybe host can disable some buttons on the dialogue?
like a dialogue pops up and asks the host for "minimum difficulty" and the buttons for everyone else that are below that minimum difficulty are disabled so they can't vote below it?

no player can vote below normal bacause weak,very weak, none, anti-join arnt there anymore.

well ye but then you got those noobs that all vote godlike simply cause they'll leave the game soon afterwards anyway. i think its best to give the host more power in voting, so for example the hosts vote counts for 3 normal votes

serdalis has an interesting idea there. As for people leaving because they cant play at a lower/higher difficulty level, fuck them just ban like vulkarus would they r noobs anyway ... hmm. maybe we need more noob hosts?

a min and a max seems like a bad idea
it basicly means its up to the host
min = easy and max = easy
so what to vote ^^ i think giving the host more voting power will do
