And by the way... if for whatever reason Squad still doesn't want to work on HaE2, get Vulkarus to help you. In another post he stated that he was excellent at working triggers, and very good at units and fairly decent at terrain. If Vulkarus could help you, you might be able to make beta after all! ;D

so if squad refuses to help you, you're either going to work on it by yourself, or just give up, is that it?  I see how you and squad have developed this beautiful, mutual trust born out of the time you've spent making all these maps, but eventually there comes a time when you have to make a choice. either give up, do it on your own, get vulkarus to help you, or we'll try to get squad back. well i guess if we cant convince squad, its the end of the epic maps. maybe ill make some smaller ones on my own but that should be about it...

yea me too i can only do very basic ones like dialogue and gates... I still need a LOT of practice  Anyway, i *really* don't want to see such an awesome map of epic potential bite the dust. I am merely offering suggestions; Vulkarus could help you make beta if Squad refuses. I am E-Mailing Squad right now.  But maybe you could tell me why the HELL Squad even gave up on it in the first place? |

he tells me he's too busy but that cant be  maybe too busy playing WoW or something cause i dont see him studying 24/7. i guess he just doesnt feel like map editing anymore... |

I sure as hell hope so! can't wait until HaE2 hits beta ;D the map has soooo much potential, almost like Waugriffs COT Rpg but WAY better and with WAY cooler ideas. You two are mapmaking GODS -- of eternal darkness!  |

Hello Setokaiva,
Thanks for the mail, you make it sound like the end of the world, but...
The changes needed for hae2 to be able to be a fully functional game would be huge, empire needs to be entirely revamped, hero needs a revamp with skills/buildings and the lagg in the game is enormous. I do not have the time to make the changes alone nor do i have the cd's to even run the game. Legacy might be able to help but he moved away without internet connection. And even if legacy would help, I would at least need his full help which he very rarely gives. He mainly works only on landscapes which he is quite good at but the landscape in hae2 was already finished, everything else needs polishing though.

lol i wonder what you mailed to squad
anyway, like i said i talked to him and things are gonna be fine, squad wasnt aware of the fact that i was back in the netherlands, but the rest is kinda right of what he said.
i guess ill keep you up to date about when we're going to start working on it again, for now ill do some calculation and listing untill i can work in the editor once again

ye i gotta admit there were times i left the annoying tasks up to squad ^^ time to end that if we'd like to go beta though
but then again, you're the last person who should say anything about that since you've hardly been any help at all
and squad plays less WoW now, still busy learning C++, but he might just get some free time to work on HaE2 together with me
