it would be easy to implement a 'Waypoint' they already have them, and they don't create alot of lag... it would only be a matter of making a dialogue box so they can pick their destination, which would also be easy if you limited them to one per empire.

that sounds good to me of course, for an even simpler solution, copy the hero teleportation from old hae.

that would be too cheap tho, that's the only problem i had with heroes and empires... the warping around, in theory it's nice but it eliminates MUCH of the strategy... this waypoint system wouldn't so much... because to use it you would first have to get to an allies base. Also, when using it you couldn't use it to return to another hero, only the waypoints.

yea i knew that idea would be shot down... oh well. implement the waypoints system it sounds great ;D
Maybe put in items you could buy that grant you single-use teleportation to allied BUILDINGS ONLY. these would cost allot of silver.

Who does play heroes and empires 2??? NO ONE because the game is easy and the empire is way different!
or no one hosts it so it cant be tested by anyone

i don't blame 'em for the most part about not hosting them who wants to play an alpha version anyway they are almost buggy and incomplete and boring. but they should still give it a chance because the Heroes part of the map is still working fine...
But the Empires still need some *SERIOUS* work.

well ye the only reason why its published is cause people were whining to play the game while we just started working on it. therefore we just kinda made it playable sooner than it should be and published it... and now its still on hold

Very good that its alpha, then, because otherwise the people that play the map and not like it will think that you and squad are incompetent jerks who cant map for crap. People that see its alpha will either be more forgiving, and eagerly await the beta (within that time playing the complete hero part), or sigh in frustration and forget about it. Don't let it get you down, Final. You and Squad did a great job on HaE2 and I'm sure its going to be three times better than it is now when its in beta, knowing your absolute skill with mapmaking! ;D

i honestly want to continue work on it as soon as i get my hardware in for my computer and reinstall W3, but i dont think i can ever get squad convinced... so maybe itll never even reach beta

Don't talk like that! We'll help, Final. I'll try to come up with some ideas that'll have Squad begging to continue work on the map. BTW what is his area of expertise? does he do the triggers?

ye he's the trigger master, he also does alot of other stuff though, i cant bring it on beta level without him
