it would be cool if we could get a code system similar to the Night of the Dead or SWAT games.. where you can get random special starting goodies as you play more. unlocks and other fun stuff.. maybe different points for playing as a hero and as an empire, cool things like starting with a unique item maybe not super powerful but something cool.. etc.

Problem is that those tthings are normally seen as cheats or abuses (which is true) so i doubt that they will come in.

how are they normally seen as cheats or abuses? HaE is primarily played as a PvC game, player vs computer. how would it matter if you get rewarded for playing the game a lot?

Or perhaps a special trigger that unlock something special when you play with someone from the team.

But perhaps i will add them later. heh seems like an exaggeration doen't have to be insane items. and the tooltip can always say something like (Random Item # avail at Rank # or something..) Haven't you played Dark Deeds?

I have played dark deeds a long time ago. And there is another problem even if you never played the map you could get the items by just looking at the map code . Anyway not sure if i am gonna add this stuff first i will try to get the basics of HaE2 to work (nearly the same as HaE but should lagg less and have new empire/hero style)

My idea of a secret: -another boss pop up when you kill Kalenden. -A travelling merchant (no ping, better items as time pass) arpent the world, while another merchant pop up but with stuff for empires (Say, you could buy upgrades straight away but it cost $$$) -A new Leeroy Jenkins-like Kalenden hero appear and respawn instantly each time he's killed (but he's weak).

Perhaps we will add roaming merchants but a couple problems we might come up against doing this:
We gonna need paths for them to run so completely random they wont be. Also an empire can just wall in one of the merchants. And the map will be huge, it will be impossible to find them unless your insanely lucky or we use a shitload of them. Which probably wont be very good for lagg issues ;P

I think the point is that they are near-random... the insanely lucky is exactly what it should be. and the thing about walling them in--- have no unit-collision for that model?(u could make it flying with just no height, but that would allow it to go over mountains and therefore ruin pathing)
ah, an idea for the wall thing-- could u make a permanent WW spell with 0% move speed increase and no invisible? and if u cant turn off the invisible aspect, make it take 2 hours to finally become visible and re-cast the spell every 30 minutes (since they become semi-transparent eventually)

WW cant move through walls. You cant move through buildings only units and if that is the only problem i could as well give him blink lol.

The blink thing would require that there be some triggering to make it work right... dunno if u wanna figure that much out.
And legacy, did u mean that my idea was nuts b/c it would be invis? or was that something new?
