The new HaE2 version will not be finished by us. If you like to make the map playable yourself, just contact us and we'll send you the latest unprotected version.
The reason why we won't finish it is due to the new WC3 patch which changed the map editor. Basicly a huge amount of triggers have to be redone.
Thank you for understanding.

Oh, I thought the patch helped things...?
Although it apparently seems that the amount of DotA games has dropped DRASTICALLY since the patch for some reason.
Could you elaborate on what exactly got changed and why this is impeding progress?
You know I would have thought Blizzard would have learned by now... Don't mess with the DotA community as they make up the bulk of the people who play WC3. They had to give up on the Warden program almost as soon as it was put into effect.

Ah, there seems to be some sort of miscommunication.
I didn't know anyone was creating a new version of HAE1 besides the HAE Advanced version whose creator has disappeared. I did ask for an unprotected version of HAE 7.3 if you had it, because I wanted to try and recycle some of the unused HAE 2 stuff into HAE1. Since I already have HAE 85.6, I don't really need the latest HAE1 but I'd prefer it since I'd like to work with the fixes 7.3 put in.
The patch removed the 'return bug'. This function was used to typecast variables into other variables as WC3 Jass doesn't otherwise have that functionality. The Patch removed the 'return bug' and added functions to support typecasting. However, you'd pretty much have to rewrite anything that previously used the return bug.
I'd be glad to learn JASS by converting the triggers in the latest unfinished HAE2 map into usable triggers.

I said that somewhere else too, i am working on a H&E map, and truly the person working on H&E on hiveworkshop is difficult to join, and unfortunatly is a bad mapper, mostly thing he did was adding models for heros and raise the size of the map to +3mb... while being reduced by optimiser lol. Anyway if someone wanna i can upload my first version from HaE7 sizing 964ko (optimised in other world), with a little cheat "god call" to force god play at start ('ll change that later), correction of 500 wood abuse, correcting farm cost (but not the size) and with the unpopular "Gates-Death-Items-Bug" fixed.

whats this 'gates-death-items-bug' ?
Project Warden, from the sounds of it, it would be basically the same thing for WoW. Warden is a program that scans your other processes to make sure you aren't cheating. Its controversial, as they could easily let it access anything and everything on your computer while you have the game up. Or say if someone hijacked it, they'd have instant access to everything.

Ah. Although I think the latest Jass plugin/patch fixes the stuff that blizzard screwed up, but I'm going on word of mouth here.

The Gate-death-items-bug is the annoying thing that when you have an item around an open gate, you can't close it, even if you kill the item, somehow the gate won't close even one hour after having killed the item. Anyway if someone is skilled in WE i'd like some help, it progress but it takes awfully a lot of work and alone it isn't really easy.

If I had a guess, it would be that when items die, they leave a permanent or near permanent corpse. Make a trigger to kill off that corpse when the item dies and all should be well.

I edited the map and fixed that bug specifically last year.
But none of that really matters now, now that the map doesn't work.

no, i don't know what patch 1.24b did as there is no changelog, but it did not fix anything that prevents the map from being played.
