Well, I actually prefer HaE Rising, and my strategy is different in that due to the change in farms (which I love ). In HaE Rising, farms are still large but have no collision size, as they are actual farms, plants in the ground, which can be walked over. This completely changes strategy entirely.

it is possible to play any difficulty on any of them, even by yourself. It's all about how good you do. Start off on Strong and work your way up to see what the highest difficulty you can handle is. When you get to the lowest difficulty that you cannot handle, work at that one until you can. It's easier to get slightly better in time than to try something way over your head.

then, in that case, impossible is only barely above your limit. just keep trying, and improving your strategy, and, eventually, you will be able to do it. come by channel clan goed on useast, and, if you catch me or some others, we would play it with you. also, clan ais plays heroes and empires often as well.

Obelisks dont spawn until about 15 minutes into the game (10-minute grace period). If you can't send an army out at that point in time, you do indeed need to improve your strategy. Firstly, you HAVE to set up walls and towers; when you start, the first thing you should be doing is sending a couple of peasants to build walls and gates, as they do not cost much; they simply take a while to set up, and, you should be having a worker constantly building roads. You have to set up defense as early as possible, so that you won't have to use units to defend. That allows you to use your units to kill the Obelisks. Also, you said "we". I hope that you build seperately. Building in the same base is always a bad idea, as it limits your space for placing houses to gain income and farms to feed your citizens. You are better off building seperately, because 1: You have more space, 2: You cover more of the map, making it easier to quickly respond to Obelisks, 3: Kalenden's forces will have to split up to go to the different bases. 4: If one of you is in a tough spot, another can attack from behind Kalenden's forces. 5: I told you to do it.

I like to mass peasants and attack the obelisk.
When I say that I like to do it, I really mean that I have never done it but in theory it works.
